Deadguy sat back in his chair. The food court was a little busy for this time of day, but not noisy enough to make him think he misheard what this teenager across from him just said. "We're calling it what," he asked, the tone of his voice matching the discontent of his face.

"Deadguy, Saga of a Hero," the young man responded. He pushed some of his bushy, sandy blond hair out of his face, only to have it fall right back into place. "It's something to showcase how awesome you are."

"This is for school," he asked.

"Well, not yet," the teen replied sheepishly. "I haven't told my teacher, but I'm sure he'll approve."

Deadguy looked off into space, his mind racing with thoughts of being swarmed by fan girls and paparazzi. He smiled like a kid on Christmas. "You want to start filming now," he asked hopefully.

  "Um...no, he answered.

"Then what's with the that?" He pointed to the small camera that looked like it's seen more than a few family gatherings.

  "It's for girl-watching," George remarked.

  "Yeah. Good luck with that."

Our Hero threw the door open to Jill's apartment and jumped onto the couch. The apartment was the current base for the Professional Heroes, at least until Jill could get a better place. A woman with short red hair stormed out of the office that was a few feet down the hall from the Living Room. "Are you just going to leave the door open," she yelled.

"Relax boss," Deadguy said. "I'm elated right now."

  "How and why?"

"Just got back from an interview from a guy who wants to make a documentary about us."

"Close the door first, then tell me," she commanded. "Valkadaidan! Team meeting!" A young man with spiky black hair emerged from the office. He plopped down in one of the chairs as Deadguy and Jill took their seats. "Okay. Now explain all this again."

"I met up with young guy that wants to make a documentary with, well me mostly, but you two are part of it."

"So, he wants to make a film about you," the redhead asked.

"No, Jill. You're not seeing the big picture," DG explained. "It's not about me, it's about us. I mean, yes, I'm the title character, but that's not important."

"Are we still talking about the documentary ," Jill asked. "How do you know this kid is legit? It might be a set up."

"He gave me the number to his teacher and everything," he answered, producing a sheet of paper from his trench coat pocket.

"You get a name," Valkadaidan asked.

"Yeah. George...something. Castan-no. Stephi-no, not that one. Of the Ju-no. No...That's definitely not it."

"When did he say he wanted to start filming," Jill questioned.

"Whenever he gets approval from his teacher, I guess." Deadguy grabbed the remote from the coffee table and turned on the television. "It shouldn't take long. The kid was really enthusiastic about it."

"-to the bombing now in progress," the news anchorwoman said. "As you can tell from this aerial view, several building in Dover were hit almost simultaneously by what appears to be high impact-" She was cut off as another building suddenly exploded. "Oh my god," the anchorwoman screamed.

"Isn't Dover the rich part of town," Deadguy asked.

  "Yep," Jill answered.

"We should go do something," he remarked.

  "Yep," she replied again.

Our Hero stood up and pulled his fingerless fighting gloves tighter on his hands. "Valkster, grab your blade. We're going shopping."

  "Shopping for what," he asked.

  "Shopping for justice."

The other two Heroes just stared at him, then groaned at the same time.

The Heroes pulled up in Valkadaidan's car as the Fire Department worked frantically to put out the various fires. Medics were running back and forth, trying to round up the wounded and tend to them as best they could. Police were trying to erect barriers between the carnage and the on-lookers. Before them, various bystanders were watching in fear and amazement behind the police barrier. Smoke wavered in the air as the burning building warmed up the abnormally cold area. The smell of ash, melted plastic, and burning clothes almost choked the lungs of the Professional Heroes.

"Okay, we're here," Deadguy stated, adjusting his black backwards baseball cap as a scream came from a nearby coffee shop. "Let's do something heroic." Before Jill could stop him, he had already leapt over the barrier and bolted into the burning shop. There was a sudden secondary explosion, causing the crowd to gasp in shock. Seconds felt like hours as everyone watched. The structure collapsed in front of the doorway, blocking any hope of leaving. Just when it seemed it was all over, a table flew out from one of the windows. Our Hero barreled out, carrying someone that had their head and upper body covered with his trench coat. He pulled it off as a few medics ran up to help them.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou," the young barista said over and over, her face covered with soot and tears. "I thought I was done for," she blubbered.

"Not while I'm around Beautiful," he replied.

"Hey, you," a police officer called out. "Get back behind the barrier!"

"You need all the help you can get," DG yelled back. "so try and stop me!" He started for the next building as Jill and Valk snuck past the barriers to help out as well. Another explosion shook the ground as another building went up in flames. The other Heroes caught up as he grabbed the closest medic. "Anyone still in there?"

"I don't know," the guy said, a ting of stress in his voice. "This place has become a mad house."

"Hey," Jill said, grabbing Deadguy's arm. "You can't just go running off like that. We need a plan."

"You want a plan? Here's one. MAKE SURE EVERYONE GETS OUT OF THIS ALIVE!"

"Hey! Don't yell at me," she yelled back. "Last I checked, I'm still the boss."

  "Fine, 'Boss', what's the plan?"

The gasps and screams of the crowd broke their argument. A few started pointing at an area above the Heroes heads. The sound of smart phones taking pictures soon followed. Deadguy and Jill looked over to see two people standing on top of an ambulance. They appeared to be twins, with one dressed in black with a red Alpha symbol on their forehead, and the other dressed in red with a black Beta symbol on theirs. Their sandy blond hair whipping in the January wind.

"I am Bomber Alpha," the one in black introduced.

"I am Bomber Beta," the one in red added.

"I am unimpressed by your lack of originality," Deadguy said to them. Both glared down at him.

"What fool dares to insult us," they questioned in unison.

"Deadguy. Professional Hero." He paused, thinking for a moment. "Are you guys or girls?"

They both sucked some air through their teeth, then pointed. A small explosion went off in front of him, knocking him away from the group. The blast ripped away most of the head and chest of Our Hero as he lay motionless on the ground. Some people in the crowd started screaming, the rest were to busy taking pictures on their phones to panic. The Bomber Twins smiled at their handiwork. Their smiles turned to gritted teeth as the destroyed body of Deadguy started to heal. Blasted bone and seared flesh formed back into it's original form. Within a minute, Deadguy was fully healed and back on his feet. "They didn't tell us about you," the twins remarked.

"I've always been a bit of a wild card," he replied. "Now, since you can't kill me, you want to come quietly?"

The twins smirked. They turned and
held their hands out to each other with palms out. They hummed briefly as a glowing yellow-orange orb started forming between them. It grew to the size of a beach ball, then they hurled it at Deadguy. "You have a choice," they said. "Stop us, or stop the bomb." They then laughed in unison as they took off from atop the ambulance.

Our Hero looked down at this glowing orb. "Jill. Valk. Get everyone clear of the area," he suggested.

"What are you going to do," Jill asked.

"Try not to get anymore of my clothes destroyed." Realization suddenly hit him. "My god, I'm a walking time bomb." He took off, the orb held high. "Get out of my way!" He ran into on of the burning building as police, medic, and firefighters quickly dove out of his path. He dove into the flames. Moments passed, the a huge explosion rocked the area. More screams came from the crowd. Seconds ticked by, feeling like eternity.

"There he is," someone exclaimed. The crowed erupted in applause as he emerged from the flames. His hat was gone, and he was wearing a different shirt than when he had ran in. He halfheartedly waved to the cheering crowd as Jill and Valk ran up to him.

  "Are you alright," Jill asked.

He coughed a few times, trying to get the smoke out of his lungs. "Yeah, I think so," he answered. "Being blown up twice in one day kind of takes it out of you."

"We'll take your word for it," Valkadaidan commented.

  "They got away, didn't they?"

"Next time," Jill assured him. "Hero." Deadguy smiled slightly at her compliment.
